Cherie Oaklund, PT, DPT, is a Nebraska native, born and raised in Kearney. She graduated from Kearney High School before earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition, Exercise and Health Sciences, with a minor in Spanish, from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Cherie earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Cherie has a passion for helping patients regain and elevate their functional abilities, combining her expertise in human movement with her love for education. She is dedicated to making physical therapy enjoyable and tailored to each patient’s goals — whether they are recovering from an injury or looking to reach new levels of fitness.

Outside of work, Cherie enjoys playing sand volleyball, swimming, kayaking and running with her two shelter dogs. She also loves spending time with her family and dreams of playing the viola in a string quartet someday.
